PRESENTATIONS

A rewarding day with many good presentations and interesting results.

Over 40 participants from universities and the energy industry spent a day discussing the use and expansion of solar and wind energy in West Africa and the training requirements. Michelle Olufesu from CODAHEA (Consortium for the Development and Advancement of Hydrogen Economy in Africa) provided the African perspective.

PRESENTATIONS

Anna K. Usbeck

Anna Usbeck is Professor of Design and CAD at the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at HAW Hamburg. She is the initiator and head of the CO2FREE project.

Jens Eiko Birkholz

As Head of Sales & Business Development at SMA, Jens Eiko Birkholz is responsible for rural electrification, battery projects and Power2Gas applications.

Mark Kragh

Mark Kragh is the founder and technical director of Off-Grid Europe GmbH (OGE). The company is part of the ASER300 project in Senegal, where it is electrifying more than 200 villages.

Romana Hartke

Romana Hartke is Senior Business Development Manager at Mainstream Renewable Power in Hamburg with over 15 years of international experience in the energy sector.

Boris Westphal

Boris Westphal is the founder and managing director of Dornier Suntrace GmbH, a technical and financial consultancy for renewable energy projects.

Sebastian Timmerberg

Sebastian Timmerberg is Professor of Environmental Process Engineering with a focus on renewable fuels and energy management at the Faculty of Life Sciences at HAW Hamburg.
